Cole Heili announced as Freeride Team Head Coach

With the growth of the Meadows Freeride Team it became clear that a Freeride Team Head Coach was necessary to help move the program forward. After a summer of recruiting applicants the decision was made to hire Cole Heili as the Head Coach. Cole is PSIA-AASI Snowboard Level III Certified as well as holds a PSIA-AASI Freestyle Specialist 2.

Cole also has a Bachelors of Health Sciences in Kinesiology from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee graduating with a 3.45 as well being awarded a scholarship as Division 1 NCAA athlete in Baseball. In the summers Cole works as a wild land firefighter. His role is a foreman on a type II, 20 person hand crew where he consistently demonstrates a commitment to crew safety while providing the necessary skills to complete team objectives. His leadership qualities are fundamental to group cohesiveness.

Cole has shared some of his plans to move the Meadows Freeride Team program forward including …

  • Establishing Team Member season goals
  • Creating more dryland, social and informal activities to grow team cohesion
  • Development of a new Freeride Team Logo
  • More training opportunities for Team coaches for their professional development
  • Innovative uses of the Team website to communicate with athletes and coaches
  • Plus much more

We are looking forward to the enhancements to the Meadows Freeride Team that Cole will bring as the head coach.
